Tony Award winner Victoria Clark will play Clytemnestra in the New York premiere of Charles L. Mee's Iphigenia 2.0, which begins the Signature Theatre Company's 2007-2008 season, August 7-September 30. The production, to be directed by Tina Landau, will open officially on August 23.

The cast will also include Jimonn Cole (Soldier), Will Fowler (Soldier), J.D. Goldblatt (Soldier), Chasten Harmon (Bridesmaid), Jesse Hooker (Soldier), Emily Kinney (Bridesmaid), Louisa Krause (Iphigenia), Tom Nelis (Agamemnon), Angelo Niakas (Old Greek Man), Seth Numrich (Achilles), and Rocco Sisto (Menelaus). The design team will feature Blythe R.D. Quinlan (sets), Anita Yavich (costumes), Scott Zielinski (lighting), and Jill BC DuBoff (sound).

As previously reported, Signature's season will feature two other works by Mee: the world premiere of the musical Queens Boulevard (November 6-December 30), directed by Davis McCallum; and the world premiere of Paradise Park (February 12-April 6), directed by Daniel Fish. In May 2008, the theater will present a new production of Edward Albee's Occupant as part of its Legacy Series.

In 2008-2009, Signature will honor the work of the Negro Ensemble Company, which produced such plays as Ceremonies in Dark Old Men, The River Niger, and A Soldier's Play. The 2009-2010 season will be devoted to the plays of Suzan-Lori Parks, and in 2010-2011, the theater will produce the works of Tony Kushner.
