New Victory Theater Announces 2007-2008 Season

The New Victory Theater (209 West 42nd Street) has announced its 12th season, which will include 14 productions featuring performers from Australia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Romania, Scotland and the U.S. The venue offers theater, music, dance, and circus events for family audiences. Comet in Moominland (September 28-October 14): based on Tove Jansson's best-selling storybook series.

The Wolves in the Walls (October 5-21): a multi-media production by The National Theatre of Scotland, created with England's renowned theater company Improbable.

Mayhem Poets (October 26-November 4): three New Jersey slam poets who mix hip-hop and humor.

Tapeire (November 9-25): featuring Irish phenomenon James Devine, the world's fastest tap dancer.

Golden Dragon Acrobats (November 30-January 6): returning with a holiday show of new and favorite acts.

John Lithgow (January 18-20): the stage, film, and TV star performs songs from his latest recording for kids.

Luna Negra Dance Theater (January 25-February 3): the Chicago troupe's New York debut.

Traces (February 8-March 2): a high-energy fusion of music, dance, acrobatics and athleticism.

Rapunzel (March 7-23): the New York debut of the U.K.'s award-winning Kneehigh Theatre.

Pigs, Bears & Billy Goats Gruff (March 28-April 6): familiar fairy tales, surprises and sing-alongs.

Aeros (April 11-27): superstar choreographers join forces with the world's best gymnasts.

One of a Kind (May 2-11): about an emotional, real-life journey to Israel by a family of Ethiopian Jews.

Past Half Remembered (May 9-25): a multi-national hit direct from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

IJK (May 16-June 1): a new show of "sonic juggling" by Compagnie 111 (Plan B).
