Daniel Jenkins, Marc Kudisch, and Charlotte Rae will head the cast of Project Shaw's staged reading of George Bernard Shaw's Admirable Bashville at 7pm on Monday, May 21 at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South).
New York Post columnist Michael Riedel will host the reading, which is produced and directed by Project Shaw founder David Staller. Also featured in the cast will be Patricia Connolly, Charlotte Moore, Kevin Rennard, Graham Rowat, and Louis Zorich.
The play, a parody of all things Shakespearean, is billed as a riotous comedy about sex, manners, African chiefs, idealistic maidens, artistic young men, and boxing. The evening will also include some excerpts from Shaw's letters, prose, and prefaces.
