Tom Jones, co-creator of the musical The Fantasticks which is currently playing Long Wharf Theatre's Mainstage, will be the featured guest at the theater's Sunday Symposium, on Sunday, October 25 following the 2pm matinee.

Eric Ting will host a discussion with Jones who, along with his longtime collaborator Harvey Schmidt, created some of the theaters most enduring musicals, including The Fantasticks, 110 in the Shade and I Do, I Do!

In related news, Long Wharf has also announced its third annual Discovery Day, a community outreach event that introduces area children and families to the fantastical world of theatre, to be held on Saturday, November 7, 10am to 1pm. This year's event has a carnival theme and will include backstage tours, face painting, food, music, and hands on workshops in mask making, audio-visual experiments, juggling, prop making, and story-telling.
