Tony Award winner Brian Dennehy will serve as host for Westport Country Playhouse's presentation of Letters Home on November 11.
In tandem with this play, which is comprised of actual letters written by U.S. troops serving in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Westport Arts Center (WAC) will install an exhibition -- Daily Exchanges: U.S. Soldiers in Iraq - The Ordinary in Images -- in the Playhouse lobby.
This Veteran's Day event will begin with a reception and guided tour of the art exhibit at 6pm, followed by the performance at 7pm. A panel discussion, which will also feature Dennehy, will follow at approximately 9 pm, moderated by reporter Lisa Chedekel. After the discussion, WAC's Director of Visual Arts Terri C. Smith and artist Paul Kaiser will be available for comment on the exhibition.
