Jaclyn Huberman, John Jellison, Cass Morgan, Ben Roseberry, and Dan Sharkey will star in a free concert of the new musical, The Dogs of Pripyat, featuring music by Aron Accurso and lyrics by Jill Abramovitz. The work is the winner of the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company's third annual New Musical Award, and the concert will be presented at the Playhouse on February 21 at 8pm.

Based on a play by Leah Napolin, the musical parallels the lives of the pets who were left behind and two old peasants who chose to stay in their home after the 1986 disaster at Chernobyl. The concert will be introduced by its creators, and feature music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

Following the Weston concert, the cast and musicians will record a demo CD in New York under the supervision of Kurt Deutsch of Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records.
