WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Sleeping Girl is a beguiling, lively and very funny new play about a woman whose faith in miracles changes the lives of all who come in contact with her. This fanciful screwball drama, by Suzanne Bradbeer and directed by Olivia Honegger, concerns Rita Faye Pruitte, a former star of the Tampa Mermaid Museum and fierce believer in miracles, as she prepares for a very unusual birthday party. Confronted with both the sweetest and most painful parts of her past, the result is a no-holds-barred collision with the present.
