East Haddam, Connecticut's Goodspeed Musicals will present A Wonderful Life on its main stage this fall. Adapted from the beloved Frank Capra film It’s a Wonderful Life, the new musical features a book and lyrics by Tony, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof) and music by Grammy and Emmy Award winner Joe Raposo (Sesame Street).

A Wonderful Life will replace the previously announced production of The Honeymooners that was set to fill the fall main-stage slot. Goodspeed presented a workshop of The Honeymooners this past November where the authors and creative team were able to see the show fully staged for the first time. According to the theater, the production is "ready for Broadway" and will bypass the out-of-town run with an eye to the Great White Way.

In addition to A Wonderful Life, the 2015 Goodspeed Opera House season will also include Guys and Dolls, running from April 10-June 20, followed by La Cage aux Folles, running from June 26-September 6.
