Goodspeed Musicals has announced the schedule for the sixth annual Goodspeed Festival of New Artists, to be offered January 14-16.

The event will feature three staged readings of new musicals, including Room 16, a look at the unlikely friendship between G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt, which has a book by Andrea Lepcio, music by Stephen Sislen, and lyrics by Sislen and Ben H. Winters. It will be offered on January 14 at 7:30pm.

Also scheduled for public performance is Cheri Steinkellner and Georgia Stitt’s Hello! My Baby (January 15, 7:30pm), which uses and updates songs by Irving Berlin, the Gerhswins and Jerome Kern, among others, to create a new, old-fashioned show.

The third reading, Gaby Alter and Itamar Moses’ Nobody Loves You, will be offered on January 16 at Sunday, January 16 at 1pm. This new romantic comedy examines relationships that develop in a world increasing dominated by the quest for popularity.

Alongside the readings will be host of other programs, including two evenings of cabaret performances, a reception to meet the writers of the three musicals, and panel discussions that will cover a range of musical theater topics and feature such artists as John Bolton, Henry Krieger, and Kate Wetherhead.
