David Hare to Appear at Westport Country Playhouse on October 16

Award-winning playwright David Hare will take part in a post-performance interview and discussion held in conjunction with the Westport Country Playhouse’s production of his play The Breath of Life on October 16. David Kennedy will moderate the discussion, which is free and open to the public.

The Breath of Life, directed by Mark Lamos, features Jane Alexander and Stockard Channing as two women who have been involved with the same man. The show was originally produced in London, starring Maggie Smith and Judi Dench.

Hare’s many other plays include Amy’s View, The Vertical Hour, The Secret Rapture, and Plenty.
