Daisy Foote, Ken Weitzman, et. al. Set for Hartford Stage’s Brand:New Reading Series

Daisy Foote’s HIM will be one of the plays included in Hartford Stage’s Brand:NEW play reading series, running October 16-20. HIM (October 18), about siblings trying to keep their family store in business, will be directed by Evan Yionoulis.

Other plays in the series will include Hana Sharif’s examination of an artist’s perception of his parents’ marriage, The Rise and Fall of Day (October 16), directed by Eric Ting; Ken Weitzman’s baseball drama The Catch (October 17); Michael Elyanow’s look at two families at two distinct points in time, A Lasting Mark (October 18); and Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, adapted for the stage by Laura Eason and directed by Jeremy B. Cohen. The final reading will be held on October 20 and will feature selections from the theater’s Write On! competition.
