Phylicia Rashad and More Featured in Long Wharf Theatre’s 2013-2014 Season Lineup

New Haven’s Tony Award-winning Long Wharf Theatre has announced that it will hold local auditions for an assortment of roles in its star-studded 2013-14 season productions. Though the company largely casts out of New York City, Long Wharf is specifically seeking out local performers with access to housing in the New Haven area.
The productions with available roles include The Underpants, written by Steve Martin; August Wilson’s classic Fences, directed by Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad; The Consultant, written by Heidi Schreck (The Madrid); Amy Herzog’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated 4000 Miles; Shadow of a Hummingbird by Athol Fugard (The Train Driver); and Jason Robert Brown’s Drama Desk Award-winning musical The Last Five Years.
Auditions for Equity performers will be held at the theater on Friday, August 23, from 10:00am-1:30pm and 2:30pm-6:00pm. Auditions for non-Equity performers will be held on Wednesday, August 21, from 10:00am-1:30pm and 2:30pm-6:00pm.
