Tony Award nominee Michael Berresse and newcomer Evan Jonigkeit will join the previously announced star Kathleen Turner in the world premiere of Matthew Lombardo’s High, to be presented by TheaterWorks at City Arts on Pearl in downtown Hartford, July 2-August 15. Rob Ruggiero will direct.

Turner will play Sister Jamison Connelly, who agrees to sponsor 19-year-old drug-user Cody Randall (Jonigkeit) in an effort to help him combat his addiction, and ends up having her own faith tested. Berresse will play Sister Jamison Connelly’s colleague and occasional adversary, Father Michael Delpapp.

The design team will include David Gallo (set), Jess Goldstein (costumes), John Lasiter (lights), and Vincent Oliveri (sound).

High is a co-production with Cincinnati Playhouse, where it will run September 4-October 2, and Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, where it will play October 13-November 7.
