Ty Jones, Jesse J. Perez, Stew, et al. Set for Shakespeare on the Sound’s Midsummer Night’s Dream

Full casting has been announced or Shakespeare on the Sound’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to be presented at two site-specific locations on the Long Island Sound: Pinkey Park, Rowayton (June 16-28) and Baldwin Park, Greenwich (July 4-12). Joanna Settle will direct the production, which will feature an original score by Tony Award winner Stew.

This new interpretation of the text incorporates multiple languages in the fairy world, lawn seating in a deep, three-quarter thrust that brings the audience all around the action, and Stew’s original score which includes seven new songs.

The cast includes Jesse J. Perez (Puck/Philostrate), Doan Ly (Titania/Hippolyta), Mickey Solis (Oberon/Theseus), John Campion (Egeus), Gregory Wooddell (Demetrius), Marjan Neshat (Hermia), Albert Jones (Lysander), Gretchen Hall (Helena), Ty Jones (Bottom), Lindsay Smiling (Starveling/Oberon Goblin), Dennis Parlato (Egeus), Chivas Michael (Flute/Titania Fairy), Mike Caban (Snout/Titania Fairy), Benjamin Huber (Peter Quince/Titania Fairy), Daniel O’Neill (Snug/Oberon Goblin), Lili De’Rossi (Titania Fairy), Alexa Salamé (Titania Fairy), and Alessandro Chillé (Oberon Goblin).

The creative team will also include choreographer David Neumann, set designer Andrew Lieberman, sound designer Obadiah Eaves, and costume designer Ilona Somogyi.
