Songwriting team Joe Masteroff, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick participated in a “Sunday Symposium” at the Westport Country Playhouse following the April 25 matinee performance of their musical She Loves Me, currently performing at the theater.

She Loves Me features a book by Masteroff, with music by Bock and lyrics by Harnick. Westport’s production is directed by the Playhouse’s artistic director Mark Lamos, with music direction by Wayne Barker.

It stars Jeremy Peter Johnson as Georg and Jessica Grové as Amalia, with Nancy Anderson as Ilona Ritter, Douglas Sills as Steven Kodaly, Michael McCormick as Ladislav Sipos, Lenny Wolpe as Mr. Maraczek, Christopher Shin as Arpad Laszlo, and David Bonanno as Head Waiter/Keller. The ensemble includes Alison Cimmet, Aaron Galligan-Stierle, Jenny Latimer, Robin Lounsbury, and Sam Pinkleton.

The Playhouse Sunday Symposium program, free and open to the public, provides the audience with guest speakers’ in-depth insights and observations about the production, followed by an interactive dialogue.
