Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Long Wharf’s Carousel

Long Wharf Theatre has announced cast and creative team information for its production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein’s classic musical Carousel, to run May 7-June 8, with an opening set for May 14. The play is a co-production with the Court Theatre in Chicago, where it is currently running through April 13.

Set in a small New England town, the musical tells the story of an impulsive, brash carnival barker and his bride which spans heaven and earth in its exploration of love, human frailty, and redemption. This acoustic production is helmed by Court Theatre Artistic Director Charles Newell, with musical direction by Doug Peck and choreography by Randy Duncan.

The production will feature Nicholas Belton (Billy Bigelow), Sean Blake (Fisherman), Matthew Brumlow (Jigger Craigin), Ben Dicke (Fisherman, Policeman, Enoch Snow Jr.), Carol Feiger (Mill Woman), Neil Friedman (David Bascombe), Jess Godwin (Arminy), Ernestine Jackson (Nettie, Starkeeper, Dr. Seldon), Rob Lindley (Enoch Snow), Johanna McKenzie Miller (Julie Jordan), Jessie Mueller (Carrie Pipperidge), Tommy Rapley (Carnival Boy), Hollis Resnik (Mrs. Mullin, Heavenly Friend), Laura Scheinbaum (Mill Woman, Louise), and Travis Turner (Fisherman, Policeman).

The design team will include John Culbert (set), Mark McCullough (lighting), Joshua Horvath (sound), Jacqueline Firkins (costumes).
