Alice Ripley, a 2009 Tony Award winner for her performance as Diana in the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, will join the cast of Long Wharf Theatre's upcoming production of Bruce Norris' Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park. The play will run May 8-June 2 on the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre.

Clybourne Park examines the changes in one Chicago neighborhood over a half century. In 1959, a nervous group of neighbors try to talk their friends out of selling their home to a black family. Sixty years later, sparks fly and racism continues as a white family attempts to move into the now-predominantly African-American neighborhood.

Ripley, who will be playing the roles of Bev and Kathy in the Long Wharf Theatre production, has appeared on Broadway in numerous shows including Side Show, The Who's Tommy, Sunset Boulevard, and more.
