The play concerns a family that gets together to celebrate the mother's 54th birthday in their favorite restaurant. Based on what transpires following the night of the part, time begins to flow differently for each person.

The show's creative team includes James Noone (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes), Rui Rita (lighting), and Scott Killian (sound). Tillinger directed Ayckbourn's Relatively Speaking at Westport in 2007. He has received Tony Award nominations for Inherit the Wind, The Price, and Loot.
