Irene Sofía Lucio, Joseph Parks, Henry Stram, et al. Set for Yale Rep’s Romeo and Juliet

Yale Repertory Theatre has announced casting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, to run March 11 – April 2 at the University Theatre. Shana Cooper will direct the production, which will have original music by Gina Leishman and choreography by Seán Curran.

The classic centers on the tragic romance of two teens who come from two feuding families.

The company will feature Brian Robert Burns (Gregory/Ensemble), Catherine Castellanos (Lady Montague/Ensemble), William DeMeritt (Friar John/Ensemble), John Patrick Doherty (Mercutio), Marcus Henderson (Tybalt/Ensemble), Chris Henry (Benvolio/Ensemble), Ben Horner (Paris/Ensemble), Irene Sofía Lucio (Juliet), Cynthia Mace (Nurse), Graeme Malcolm (Prince), Christopher McHale (Montague/Ensemble), Seamus Mulcahy (Peter/Ensemble), Andy Murray (Capulet), Fisher Neal (Abram/Ensemble), Joseph Parks (Romeo), Christina Rouner (Lady Capulet), Blake Segal (Balthasar/Ensemble), Alice Shih (Ensemble), Gabriel Sloyer (Sampson/Ensemble), Sarah Sokolovic (Rosaline/Ensemble), Henry Stram (Friar Laurence), and Kathryn Zukaitis (Ensemble).

The creative team will include Po-Lin Li (scenic design), Leon Dobkowski (costume design), Laura J. Eckelman (lighting design), Jennifer Lynn Jackson (sound design), and Rick Sordelet (fight direction).
