Randy Graff, Amy Irving, James Lecesne Cast in Hartford Stage’s Motherhood Out Loud

Randy Graff, Amy Irving, James Lecesne, and April Yvette Thompson will star in Hartford Stage’s world premiere production of Motherhood Out Loud, to be presented February 24-March 21. Lisa Peterson will direct.

Presented as a loose chronological journey of motherhood, the piece explores the topic with perspectives from stepmoms to single moms, immigrant moms to grandmothers, and new moms to empty nesters.

The production features contributions from writers including Leslie Ayvazian, Pat Candaras, Jessica Goldberg, Beth Henley, Deborah Zoe Laufer, Lisa Loomer, Michele Lowe, Asra Nomani, Brett Paesel, Marco Pennette, Theresa Rebeck, Luanne Rice, Adriana Trigiani, Annie Weisman and Christine Zander, and Mark Nutter.

The show, conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein, was workshopped this past summer at the Bay Street Theater.
