Robert Marc Friedman’s Remembering Miss Meitner is set to play The New Theater at Yale, January 16-17, starring the original cast from the Göteborg Theatre production in Sweden. Christel Körner will direct.

Friedman’s play centers around miss Lise Meitner (1878-1968), a physicist who discovered, in collaboration with Otto Hahn, nuclear fission in 1938, but was overlooked by the Nobel Prize Committee. The cast will feature Ingemar Carlehed as Otto Hahn, Inger Hayman as Lise Meitner, and Johan Karlberg as Manne Siegbahn.

Presented by the Yale University Department of Physics, Jonathan Edwards College, the Provost Office of Yale University, School of Engineering, and the Women Faculty Forum, this performance is part of a four day event that will also include a lecture by the playwright and the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics. Admission to Remembering Miss Meitner is free.
