Glenn Close’s Albert Nobbs to Screen at Telluride Film Festival

Albert Nobbs, co-written by and starring Glenn Close as a woman who passes herself off as a butler in 19th-century Ireland, will be among the selections of the 38th Telluride Film Festival, to be held September 2-5 in Telluride, Colorado, according to Variety.


Albert Nobbs, which is based on the play of the same name, is directed by Rodrigo Garcia, and also stars Mia Wasikowsa, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Brendan Gleeson, and Janet McTeer. It will also screen at the Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place later month.

The Telluride festival will also include screenings of such films as David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method. Alexander Payne’s The Descendants. Martin Scorsese’s Living in the Material Word, and Steve McQueen’s Shame. Tributes will be held to actor-director George Clooney and actress Tilda Swinton.
