WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Created by Cleveland native Sarah Savelli, Wonderland: A Tap Tribute to Stevie Wonder is an energetic, thought-provoking performance that explores the messages within the lyrics of some of Stevie Wonder's most recognizable songs. Using music, images, spoken word and tap dancing, this original show brings to life the incredible artistry of Wonder's music while also expressing life lessons and telling stories along the way. Original dancers Sarah Savelli, Ayodele Casel and Jumaane Taylor return, joined on stage by Travis Knights, one of Canada's premier tap dancers. They are backed by an ensemble of young, up-and-coming tap dancers from across the country, including Jason Janas, Michela Marino Lerman, Tony Merriwether, Alicia Monoco, Anthony Russo and Dolores Sanchez. The ensemble was chosen from auditions in both Cleveland and New York City at the end of 2007. The dynamic spoken-word artist Shihan brings an exciting new aspect to this year's show. A live band - fronted by Rebecca Morris and local singer Kyle Primous - will provide music. For group sales call 216-664-6050.
