A Christmas Story Returns to Cleveland Play House for 10th Season

Cleveland Play House has announced plans to present A Christmas Story for the 10th year. The production will run November 24-December 23 in the Allen Theatre with John McCluggage directing. CPH's A Christmas Story is based on the original motion picture filmed in Cleveland.

The cast will feature Ella Brokaw (understudy: Helen and Esther Jane), Samone Cummings (Helen), Joseph Daso (Scut Farkas/understudy: Ralphie), Christopher Gerson (The Old Man), Madeleine Maby (Mother), Laura Perrotta (Miss Shields), Arthur Schmiedl (understudy: Flick, Schwartz, and Scut Farkas), Katie Schuler (Esther Jane), Jake Spencer (Ralphie), Sam Spencer (Randy), Jeff Talbott (Ralph), Tyler Thompson (Schwartz), Nolan Tiech (Flick), and Vaughn Ullom (understudy: Randy).

The design team for A Christmas Story includes Robert Mark Morgan (set design), David Kay Mickelsen (costume design), Michael Boll (lighting design), and James C. Swonger (sound design).

"We are so excited to bring back a family favorite this year with A Christmas Story," said CPH artistic director Laura Kepley in a statement. "This show is appropriate for all ages and we are thrilled to bring in thousands of new faces to the theater each year. We look forward to the holiday season with our annual production of this hilarious Christmas classic."
