About This Venue

Now in its 19th season, The Next Theater is Evanston's resident professional theater. The focus is the finest in contemporary alternative theater and fresh perspectives on classics from the world's dramatic repertoire. In all, Next has won many awards and Citations and was recently named "the best Off-Loop Theatre in Chicago."
Each season, Next Theatre produces five plays in its 167-seat proscenium theater.
