Bailiwick Arts Center

Venue Location and Information
1229 W. Belmont Ave.
Chicago, IL 60657
773-883-1090

About five blocks west of the Belmont el stop on the Howard.

About This Venue
Located in Belmont, the Bailiwick building houses several shows in medium sized, cozy theaters, and feels something like a casual warehouse. However, this is not a storefront theater; the shows tend to be experimental, adventurous and creative. Many of the productions at what probably amounts to Chicago's best gay performance center are homo-thematic, including a notable annual Gay Pride festival.
There are 150 seats in the house. The Maintstage season consists of one play, one musical, one classical play and two new plays.
