WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Jeff Daniels and Rachel York star in the Goodman Theatre's production of Turn of the Century, a new musical by Tony Award winners Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Tommy Tune directs.
The show focuses on a down-on-her-luck singer named Dixie Wilson and a womanizing piano player named Billy Clark who become superstars.

Turn of the Century, the world premiere musical comedy at the Goodman Theatre, has an imaginative premise, a wealth of songs, a refined look, a talented cast, a script by Jersey Boys creators Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and a production team headed by director Tommy Tune. And yet, the show isn't quite ready for Broadway -- although it definitely is an entertaining 100 minutes.
At midnight on Dec. 31, 1999 pianist Billy Clark (Jeff Daniels) and singer Dixie Wilson (Rachel York) find themselves transported back to Jan. 1, 1900, their heads stuffed with all the pop, jazz, rock and Broadway music yet to come.
