WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In his version of the Goethe legend, Christopher Marlowe tells us the story of Doctor John Faustus: a young man at the crossroads of his life, filled with potential and passion, and has become jaded with academia. He turns to black magic and sells his soul to the devil for universal omnipotence. Marlowe's beautifully written tragedy forces us to look inside ourselves and see how thought and action battle one another and inevitably dictate the quality of our character.
