Cabaret luminary Andrea Marcovicci tributes Ruth Etting and her rags-to-riches story from the speakeasies of Chicago to the Ziegfeld Follies. America's Sweetheart of Song, Chicagoan Ruth Etting was known for her beauty, voice and tragic life, which extended from Chicago to Broadway and finally Hollywood.
