Torn apart by sixteen years of dysfunction, the Mashburns are at times absurd, headstrong, ambitious, and reckless--and so long as they avoid each other, very much alone. It seems they will stay estranged forever; until the arrest of the oldest brother sets off a border-crossing misadventure, and the siblings are forced to band together to keep the past from repeating.
