Synopsis


A storytelling walking tour of the Chicago downtown theater district. People places and events from the Golden age of Chicago theater.

Stroll around the downtown theater district and hear stories from the Golden Age of Chicago theater, a century defined by a pioneering spirit and cataclysmic events. The tour stops at the Oriental Theater and the Harris and Selwyn transformation into the new Goodman Theater. Along the way the guide regales you with stories featuring theater luminaries of the day. The tour passes the site of the McVicker Theater which hosted all the great performers of the period. The afternoon tour ends at the Auditorium Theater, acknowledged world wide for its perfect acoustics.
