Four time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald seamlessly mingles her classically trained soprano with a variety of stage and screen work. She has performed with all major American orchestras, along with London's BBC Proms, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Chatelet Theatre in Paris. McDonald's performance opposite Emma Thompson in the HBO production of Wit garnered an Emmy nomination. This multifaceted performer, who is often compared to Judy Garland, also has three solo discs encompassing pop standards and contemporary music theater songs.
