RE:animal crackers
Nearly flawless. Perfect blend of music and dialog. I felt as if I was watching the Marx brothers in person and the year was 1928. Joey Slotnik seems to be channeling Groucho to the extent that he becomes invisible and Grouch totally takes over his character. I have only one critical comment. Harpo needs to be played by a man. I went with a totally opened mind about it, but throughouit the performance, I kept seeing a woman playing a mans role. With such careful attention paid to recreating the other Marxs personas, why deviate so drastically with Harpos? Not even a single gookie. That aside, I commend
the cast and the rest of the production for a truly most enjoyable performance. I would like to see it again. 4 stars.
