Myles Erlick, Marcus Pei, Dillon Stevens Join Chicago’s Billy Elliot The Musical

Myles Erlick and Marcus Pei will join the Chicago company of Billy Elliot The Musical, playing at Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre, this fall. They will be playing the title role, replacing Tommy Batchelor and Giuseppe Bausilio, who will play their final performances with the company in the fall, with specific dates to be announced.

Bausilio will continue with the show, assuming the title role in the Second National Tour of the production. Along with this casting news, it has been announced that Dillon Stevens began performing in the role of Michael on August 1.

Erlick’s credits include the Canadian television series Flashpoint. On stage, he was seen in the Toronto tour of Anne of Green Gables. Pei has danced the lead boys’ role of Misha in National Ballet of Canada’s Nutcracker. Stevens has trained at Center Stage in North Carolina and participated in numerous dance competitions.

Based on the 2000 film of the same name, Billy Elliot tells the tale of a young boy with a dream of being a dancer and features music by Elton John and book and lyrics Lee Hall. Directed by Stephen Daldry and choreographed by Peter darling, the show won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
