WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
War crimes. Hostages. Gang rape. Kidnapping. Racism. Terror - Titus Andronicus sounds like the scroll bar of CNN. When General Titus claims Tamora, Queen of the Goths, as a Roman prisoner, he initiates a cycle of revenge worthy of 21st century-style media frenzy. From severed heads to live burial, this is Shakespearean to the hilt, and that hilt happens to be buried in the chest of human nature.
