Adapted from The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht. New Orleans. On the eve of Grusha's 21st birthday, a hurricane strikes New Orleans. Along with the physical calamity the storm leaves behind, the social structures of the city also erode. In their place, long-buried and ancient traditions rise from the mire, and everything that was old is new again. Brecht gets a piercing rewrite in Chelsea Marcantel's new adaptation.
