The Three Sisters is by Anton Chekhov, translated by Paul Schmidt. In an exciting contemporary translation of Chehkov's comedy of yearning, Olga, Masha, and Irina find themselves eleven years into a life that looks nothing like the one they imagined. Trapped in their house in the boonies with a gambling, alcoholic brother and his crude but determined wife, the sisters struggle for a life of excitement, romance and meaning against the cruel inevitability of time.
