Young Jean Lee, playwright, director, and one of the boldest voices in contemporary theater, makes her Chicago debut with the MCA Stage presentation of The Shipment.

In The Shipment, Lee, who is Korean American, pulls and twists cultural ideas of Black America and identity politics. She challenges social norms and stereotypes that result in a subversively funny, provocative, and eclectic work that includes song, dance, sketches, a short drama, and Dave Chappelle-like stand-up comedy performed by five talented actors who impart Lee's acid wit and provocative style.
