WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Chicago Opera Theater begins its 2007 season with Monteverdi's The Return of Ulysses (Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria), featuring French mezzo-soprano Marie Lenormand as Ulysses's long-suffering wife Penelope and British tenor Mark LeBrocq as the valiant Ulysses. World-renowned architect Rafael Viñoly, whose acclaimed designs include the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia and the University of Chicago Graduate Business School, lends his dramatic flair to the creation of Ulysses's native Ithaca.
