greasy joan & company presents The Oresteia, by Aeschylus, translated by Ted Hughes, and directed by Julieanne Ehre.
Considered Aeschylus' masterpiece, The Oresteia is a collection of three plays, Agamemnon, Libation Bearers, and Eumenides, that were originally written and performed in 458 B.C. greasy joan presents a modern dress staging, focusing on the transformation from a society based on vengeance to one that celebrates the rule of law within a democratic system of justice.
