The seven women of The Hecubae explore the question, "What remains after war?" Their narrative weaves the setting and style of Euripides' tale with stories of contemporary refugees to parallel and illustrate the plight of women prisoners of war across history. Utilizing improvisational techniques and dramaturgical research from current refugee situations, the playwrights have collaborated with the cast of The Hecubae to develop an original theatrical work.
