WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Set in 1935 New Orleans, wealthy matriarch Violent Venable anxiously awaits a confrontation with her dead husband's niece, Catherine, regarding the facts of her own son's death on the white hot streets of Cabeza de Lobo, Morocco. On the surface Catherine's story seems too outlandish to be true. To pacify Catherine's story Mrs. Venable has invited Dr. Cukrowicz, a young doctor who specializes in a new psychiatric procedure, lobotomy. At stake is Mrs. Venable's son's and the family's reputation in society.
