Originally created for the Tony Award-winning Minneapolis Children's Theater and produced by Broadway's Maximum Entertainment ("The Addams Family," "Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas") Strega Nona the Musical is based on the award-winning book series by Tomie dePaola, one of the most popular children's book authors and illustrators of our time. Strega Nona the Musical is the tale of a friendly, magical grandmother who wants to cure the ills of her tiny Italian Village, Calabria. Things go awry when a local lug, Big Anthony, tries to use magic for selfish means, and pasta engulfs the town. Only the magical Strega Nona can save the day. Thomas Olson and Roberta Carlson's 75-minute theatrical adaptation of this imaginative story is geared toward ages 4 - 9 but is something all ages will enjoy.
