WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Based on the true story of a family caught up in a turbulent day in Chicago's history, STONES weaves a melody of love and loss which soars above the heat and lingers in the sky like a sunset exploding in the sky. Songs of indelible beauty help heal a family and community sick with grief, as a single mother tries to protect her son from the harsh reality of life. Featuring Felicia Fields, Percy Littleton and Penelope Walker, STONES is set in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood in 1920, at the time of the infamous riots.

Now Shannon and Reeger are back at Bailiwick through May 14 with a new musical, Stones, also based on a true Chicago story--or so the authors would have us believe. But while the show has had both workshop and world premiere productions, Stones still does not seem finished and is not yet fully successful.
