WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Stew, the Tony Award-winning creator and star of Broadway's rock musical Passing Strange, performs with his collaborator, Heidi Rodewald, and their Afro-Baroque cabaret band, The Negro Problem. Their concerts limbo between rock show and theater, and their musical influences are just as diverse: funk, baroque '60s pop, lounge music, '80s synth pop, classic Tin Pan Alley, and psychedelic rock. Part of the MCA Composers Stage series.
