WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In celebration of the Prop Theatre Company's 25th season and the 100th anniversary of the founding of Chicago's famous Essanay studio, Prop THTR presents Sounds Of Silents (The Essanay Years).
Directed by Shannon Evans and Scott Vehill, with multi-media and classic film recreations by We're So Screwed Productions, Sounds of Silents is a celebration of the birth of the movies and the early days of Chicago's famous Essanay silent film studio, whose illustrious celluloid stars included Wallace Beery, Gloria Swanson and Charlie Chaplin.
