International Theatre of Chicago, in association with Scott Dray Productions, LLC, presents the Midwest premiere of Safe, a dark comedic thriller that is part survival story and part cautionary tale. Set entirely in a Chicago bank vault, five people are held hostage during a violent robbery, and the hostages' camaraderie gives way to paranoia, deception, and murder. European Repertory co-founder Dale Goulding directs.

Safe was written by Third Watch TV star Anthony Ruivivar and Third Watch writer Tony Glazer. The play was an off-Broadway hit in 2003, staged by the IMUA! Theatre Company, a multi-cultural New York theatre ensemble that took as its name from the Hawaiian word for move forward.
