WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Written by Ana Castillo and directed by Henry Godinez, this new play is adapted from Ms. Castillo's poem "Like the people of Guatemala, I want to be free of these memories."It is based on the true story of Sister Diana Ortiz, who was in a case of mistaken identity, was kidnapped and brutally tortured by authorities in Guatemala. Psst...I Have Something To Tell You, Mi Amor tells of Sister Diana's experience with her torturers, her tragic friendship with the other woman in her cell, and her ultimate release on the orders of a mysterious "gringo."
