WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

This is a double-bill evening of theatre. Prevention takes place in the call center of a suicide hotline in which three strung-out operators struggle with saving a woman "on the string," while questioning whether they can save anyone, especially themselves. Never Enough Nothing is a series of vignettes, focusing on people in their times of need. One's wanting goes unfulfilled, while the desire of another is satiated to no effect. Embracing both naturalism and absurdity, the play employs a wide array of voices ranging from duck hunters discussing human indifference, to outraged alcoholics rationalizing repeated DUI offenses, to estranged siblings struggling to maintain the only common ground still binding them.
