WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
During Play Slam 2003, sit back and enjoy as members of the VGT Playwrights Ensemble take the stage, reading from their favorite plays and new works in a fun, informal, "slam-like" setting. Will it be fans of Claudia Allen, the author of Winter, Fossils, Unspoken Prayers and next season's Hanging Fire, who cheer the loudest this year? Will Dean Corrin loyalists campaign to have the author of Battle of the Bands best his fellow authors? Perhaps Douglas Post will win, for his spoken word recitation from his recent VGT musical God and Country. Of course, the humor of James Sherman could make him a favorite.
